This girl is not from here
This girl is not from here
You can tell by the way she appears
This girl is from out of town
She works in an evening store
I buy four beers, don’t dare to ask for more
She’s like summer in a winter store
And I see me walking out that door
She most likely comes from a small town
Somewhere out thee she calls her hometown
Four sheep five chicks and a piece of land
She must have rode her horse thee everyday
Then she decided to go her own way
Do her own thing from now on and study law in the capital town
She’s still a natural, it’s in her eyes
She dresses that way and her words are kind
And I wonder how long it takes
Before someone here might take that away
And now of course it crossed my mind
Can I be that loving kind that fits a natural in her time
And call her a sweet girl of mine
She might say yes you never know
And I’ll go there again tomorrow
Ask her if she wants to drink a beer with me
And if she does’nt drink that’s fine with
There’s always another good place to be
That’s a bit smaller, quiet, suit me fine alright
